n0w0rries I read up on it, rented a 14' Capri, and taught myself.

Other options:
*Google sailing club newport beach
There's also clubs in Dana Point and Long Beach. They can teach you how to sail, and then you can rent their boats.
*OCC sailing classes/programs
*You can sometimes find people offering lessons on craigslist, just be safe about it. Don't wind up tied to an anchor and heaved overboard.
