Popeye is for real. We emailed back and forth about me crewing locally. I know his local business and have his cell #. That outing didn't come off, so I haven't met him, but am confident he is no troll. He probably just got busy and hasn't checked back.

According to SailNet, his last post was six days ago. OK, maybe he's not prompt, but it's not two weeks yet.

Hi Popeye;

Will here. 43, NYC, sometime sailor. Would like to speak with you about crewing with you on your trip to FL. Some experience here: 22 deep-ocean sailing days, Atlantic & Pacific (LA to Maui, NY to Bermuda) non-smkr/non-anything but coffee, I'm laid back, am good on watch, and I don't eat much either! I'm free from 15 october until Christmas...

Hello, I'm Levi Crocker.I hope your are looking for a deck hand that knows his way around a kitchen. I've recently left the restaurant business after 10 years with a lot of great experience, including everything from a small-town steakhouse to 4-star Fine Dining. I've got a few years of sailing experience as well. 2 years on a 42' Jeanneau, a little time on a 1957 42' Henkel, a 35' handmade Cat and various J-boats. If there is anything else I could answer for you please feel free to contact me at any time.

Cheers,
Levi Crocker
