Looking to help on a crew

I too live in Indiana: Northwest Indiana. We sail out of Monroe Harbor, Chicago. Our boat is a Beneteau 361. If you want to do some weekend cruising this spring, you are welcome to join us. Sorry I can''t help you with the East Cost Sailing. My e-mail;

You have a number of opportunities:

Sign up for a American Sailing Association Basic Keel boat class along with Basic Cruising. You will sail for a week and learn. I think you can take the two together. US Sailing Association has the same classes.
You mentioned the East Coast I would suggest Maryland Schoolof Sailing and Seamanship. Look for their web site.
Where in Indiana do you live? Are you close to Lk. Erie or Lk. Michigan...same opportunities are available from those ports.
Now you indicate you are a Youth Pastor, I suspect you then do not have allot of disposable income for these trips. If your close to Lake Erie let us know and I am sure we can get you a ride on some local boats. If you close enough we could shoot for a weekend trip to get some experience.

Good Luck,

Looking to help on a crew

I have never been on a crew for a boat but i have wanted to for a long time. I live in Indiana and would love to find someone interested who is on the East Coast. I am 35 and I work at my church full time as a youth pastor but have had a desire for sailing and working on a sail boat; nothing long term but 7-10 day trip. Any ideas of who i could contact?
