Our first sailing trip

Well we fianally got to take circe for our first real sail, man was it awesome. We slipped the dock lines and motored out to hawks channel, raised the mainsail and killed the motor(only after pulling the kill switch and it coming out the lazerette completely and motor not dieing)after solving the kill switch drama we raised the jib and settled into a comfy downwind run in about 10 knot breeze,we then came about and practiced taking her as close to windward as se would go and was truly surprised at how close she could sail to the wind. But Circe is truly a dream to sail and she handled great we cant wait to get her out again. We practiced jibing and suprisingly did pretty good was almost able to sail her all the way back to the marina.Docking was quite a bit easier this time in.thanks to eeryone who has helped with the issues i previously posted. The only downside to this trip(depends on your point of view) was the discovery of where the water in the bilge was really coming from, but it was still a great day.Anyone interested in the taking on water issue can read the thread i have posted under gears & maint. the thread title is "duh" taking on water.i'm gonna try to post pics of the trip, until next time keep the stickin the air and the prop in the just lovin itthe admiral at the helmCirce doing what she does best
