Stiche Sailcare. Easier than driving to a local outfit twice, and fantastic results on my sail set. 'nuf said.

nickmerc I would also check out Quantum. I tore my leech line pocket on my genoa the first day I had the boat. I took it to them and it was repaired, and cleaned for only $70. That is thier minimum charge. The repair did not take an entire hour so they did the cleaning to give me my money's worth. I was very happy with them and will return this winter for cleaning and reconditioning.

josrulz Thanks guys.

Chef2sail, I'll check out UK. Padean, I'll keep Sailcare in mind for the future, but in this case, I'm just looking for a regular cleaning. And with the mainsail mod, I'd like to work with someone I can meet and discuss this with face-to-face. But thanks for the recommendation!

padean I sent my older dacron sails to SailCare last year, and they came back looking and performing great. There web site is Sail Care for sail cleaning, sail repair, new sails, roller furlings and sailing equipment and they will answer questions for you. They typically do more than a "cleaning" of the sails, but the reconditioning was what I was after anyway. This is more expensive than just having them cleaned at the local lost, but when I did this before with our local loft, I was not happy with the repair or quality of the cleaning. They also do minor adjustments, for a fee, or course. I sent my racing composite sails back to the local loft when I need them cleaned or repaired.

Need recommendation: sail loft to clean/inspect, Annapolis

Hi all,
I've seen some discussion on sail lofts for new sails, but I'm just looking for a loft to inspect my existing sails and clean them. In addition, I may need a slight modification to how the battens are held in on my main (existing set up keeps catching on my topping lift).

Any recommendation is the Annapolis area? I'm just south of Annapolis. I'd like to use someone local rather than shipping them off.
Thanks!
-J
