Can anyone tell me what material Bavaria uses to core their decks? In specific I'm looking for what the Ocean 40 deck is made from. e.g. Balsa, foam core, etc. My Island Packet had a foam core and never had to worry about the decks rotting. Thanks in advance, Frank

I am not aware of any core material which has a magic quality of not being subject to water intrusion and susequent delamination. It is such a common concern that the nature of the core material is not of much matter...

My apology, I didn't intend to state there was material with a magic quality. I was more interested in learning what Bavaria decks are cored with. I heard they had a similar foam type core just a different brand name. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Just for reference here is a link to PolyCore on the IPY manufacturers site if anyone was interested. Island Packet Yachts
