If the south bay in San Diego is acceptable, then California Yacht Marina may be for you also. Lots of slips available. Co-located with the Chula Vista yacht marina. I have had work done at Knight and Carver and would use them again.

You may also take a look at Pier 32 for the Marina or Chula Vista Marina. Pier 32 is brand new with some nice amenities. Both of these marinas are much further down the bay but a little quieter than those up in Shelter Island or Harbor Island. Knight and Carver has a nice boatyard very close to both. The advantage to Southbay is lower slip rates and the yards are a little less expensive. The disadvantage is the time to get out to sea and the lack of restaurants and local amenities within walking distance. If you have a vehicle then Southbay is probably good. If you do not, then Shelter ot Harbor island is best.

Need advice for S. Cal Marina
Good day, all. I'm looking for some advice in selecting a marina in Southern California to prep my boat for a trip into the pacific.
I'd be offloading the boat, rigging and provisioning; would be there for about a month before shoving off.
Having written this, can anyone out there provide any opinion as to a suitable marina? I don't really care where in SCal it is so long as there is good infrastructure around ( supply stores).
