RobS I had the misfortune of calling Folley Engines today concerning parts for a water pump. What an arrogant & rude bunch they are! From almost their third sentence, the individual with whom I spoke began insulting. He called me a "difficult person" when I inquired of the typical cost of a pump rebuild or even a ball park price.

Fortunately, I spent my money else where as I have learned not to spend money with such business and people.

You must have done the community well by posting your experience with Foley Engines. Caveat Emptor!

Thanks again for your help!!!

Foley Engines NOT!

It was worth traveling 6000 miles, yes 6000 miles to stand up against FOLEY ENGINES in their lawsuit against me. Of coarse Dr. Diesel "JAY FOLEY" himself is to cowardly to show up himself but send his service manager to fight his battle for him. Instead I think Dr. Diesel likes to treat people like **** over the phone, acting like a big tough guy, well suck on it! After they sent me notice to appear in small claims court, I tried to pay, they refused my Certified Mail that had a cashiers check in it forcing me to have to travel across the country to show up in Court. It went well as Foley LOST their $1025 claim against me,that I had already tried to give them, and I LOST my counter against them for travel expense, but I used the $1025 I sent them to cover my costs.
So this is how it started,I sent them a ZF Hurth Transmission for rebuilding in August 2010, after 5 weeks of getting the run-around, I found out they sent it to Florida, so I purchased a BRAND NEW transmission from Marysville Marine GREAT COMPANY, then I got a estimate to rebuild my Transmission for $1000 more than a New one, said no thanks, then they billed me $975 for teardown, freight and Invoice fee. After a couple of months I called and tried to settle on a less amount, but instead got sued by them! Foley Engines Say they do the work, but they don't, After looking around and talking to ZF, They told me Foley IS NOT a Dealer, it looks like they buy stuff on EBAY and then sell it to people, thats why it takes so long to get certain things from them.
It is just a matter of time!!!
Thanks Dr. Diesel, DUDE you truly are a piece of work hehe

Warden At the left of your name is "Senior Member" on the left of my name is "Junior Member"
I am really one of the most junior and not important members of the Sailnet Group.
I just started a thread because of particularly awful treatment by Foley Engines and found a lot of company of other people who have been also victims of Mr Foley that are indeed very well mannored and intelligent.

The other fellow is being sued by Mr Foley for a transmission rebuild that was never received by the fellow ordering it and this fellow... who wanted to settle for cash.... and was refused. Is coming three thousand miles to defend in court a claim by Mr Foley that Foley Engines is a victim of being cheated.

Doctor Diesel Phony Engines

Hello group!!! I am happy to report that when I run a search on Foley Engines that RipoffReport comes up also along side Foley's site and has complaints from the Sailnet group in plain view.

It is a social responability to do what can be done to protect the public.

To file a complaint with RipoffReport.com is effective and is some of your complaints are directly posted not hidden in the ripoff site.

If any of you would check this out and see if your voices are indeed being brought to light.. run the search for foley and if you have not already done so ...spend a few moments pasting your coments on the ripoff site.

Also there is a review form on the yellowpagescom etc that asks for coments about the vender.

WE have a junior member that is being sued by foley as I speak.

I will publicly stand behind anything I have said about him and my personal contact experience with him as 100% truthful.

Funny ....He looks just about the way I figured he would.....just missing the US flag and State Crest flag behind him ....
Thanks!!!

I think that he is all 3 people, or they all sound the same on the phone, just depends on how he feels which personality he will use.
