Re: Crew Wanted - Cruise Lake Superior

This still up? I'm a 19 year old fella and have some sailing experience on the gulf coast of Florida. Lived on a sailboat for 6 months and some, learned sailing without a motor up rivers and such. Looking to learn from someone experienced. I'm in Madison, Wi, but I'm thinking i could get anywhere need be.

flyingdutchman24 ghite,

My name is Andrew and I will be (as of this Saturday) a graduate of U of M and would be really interested in sailing with you this summer. I am from a small town on the West coast of Lower Michigan and have a lot of experience power boating on the Great Lakes but not so much with sailing (only small racing sailboats, Hobie cats, etc.). I am extremely interested in getting involved in sailing and would thoroughly enjoy any opportunity available. I'm an extremely hard worker, quick learner, and easy to get along with. Just looking to get my feet wet with sailing and learn as much as I can along the way.

Sailin4life If you'd like mine, it's I'm on the train to meet up with babner in Jacksonville to sail up to Cape Cod. I should be back home to Montana by the end of may. If you need a plan b person, I'll be available by July/August as you mentioned. I sail on Flathead Lake, so perhaps music2177 would be the best choice, since he's possibly newer to sailing. Good luck!

music2177 that sounds really good. I'm 21 and just signed up to get my asa basic here in nyc in may (just starting out sailing). I'm working a temp job for the census and will be done sometime in june. camped out for four months last summer near bend, oregon and worked as a river guide, and i'm really into outdoor stuff. not sure what my schedule specifically will be, but sailing around could be a fun option. let me know if you're still interested. also I'm a wilderness first responder and think of myself as a decent cook.
