Will 35# CQR Fit PSC 31 Rollers?

I have a 15Kg/33# Bruce which fits fine. I bought a 35# Manson Supreme but couldn't get it to fit along side the Bruce. So now I'm thinking of adding a 35# CQR but want to make sure it fits before paying the shipping.

Does anyone else with a 31 have the 35# CQR? If so, what is your second anchor? A picture of the fit would be nice.

Ditto. We use one and it fits fine.

Our second anchor is a Delta 25#, and our third (at the stern anchor locker) is a Fortress FX-16. I recently gave away our fourth anchor and rode, a Fortress FX-11, to a friend.

I would prefer to have a Bruce/claw-style as our second anchor, instead of two plows. I can't justify a Rocna/Manson at this time.

On our 31 ( 1988 hull# 26) we have a 10kg Bruce on the port roller and a 35lbs genuine CQR on the STBD roller. The CQR uses the Neptune Windless. I manage the Bruce by hand. No issue stowing either. The Bruce takes a bit of twisting to get past the bobstay but not a big deal.

Ed, do you have a picture of your anchor arrangement?

The Island Lady, 1989, #56, has a 35 CQR on the starboard and a Bruce on the port. Both fit nicely. It has a Muir electric windlass to help with all the chain on the CQR.

The stern anchor that lives on the stern rail is a Danforth 20H ( certainly acts as a great break in an emergency).
