The tank replacement is underway. Turns out the tank was basically glassed in. I was able to cut out the top of the settee and expose the tank, but it took my mechanic to finally get the tank out.
Now on to the new engine.

I have a T27 which is really meant to be a coastal cruiser.
My opinion is that the T30 is a stoutly built boat and is at least a coastal cruiser. I'm fairly certain that some T30s have crossed an ocean or two as I know that the T27 has (with modifications). The T34 was designed more for blue water then her smaller sister (IMHO).
They are all solidly made boats.

New T-30 owner
I just purchased a 1976 Tartan 30 that has a few small issues. The one I need to address first is replacing the fuel tank. This is the aft galley version with the fuel tank below the port settee.
Has anyone undertaken this project before? What are some of the gotchas I need to look out for? The PO has drained the tank and disconnected the lines.
