It would seam that I just bought one. A 1970 pearson 35. I will get the hull number next time I visit it. Anyways I would like to read as much as I can about these boats. is there a more dedicated forum just for pearsons? I will post pics as soon as I get some.
Hey thanks for the sites. I have read everything on pearson35.com. I was looking for a forum like pearsonowners may have. Some where that I can talk to other owners. I am having my boat shiped to me in a couple weeks. where I will do a complete refit.
We have a 1970 P-35 as well that my family has owned most of her life. I've done quite a bit of sailing on her and have done a lot of restoration work too over the years.
This is our first season with our 1979 Pearson 35 and we're really pleased. After looking for a couple of years I narrowed it down to the P35 because of its old school quality (ie thick fiberglass layup) classic lines, huge cockpit, extra shoal draft, and nice cabin layout. We have a Westerbeke 30 in good shape. Some say that the P35 is not good in light wind ... This may be true for some racer types ... But we were looking for a good family boat and I think the performance seems pretty good.
There is no P35 forum that is terribly active but SailNet usually draws P35 owners to answer your specific questions. Pearson35.com is really useful.
