You really need to start a new thread instead of hi-jacking the OP's thread, which is un-related for two reasons. The first is that it is just proper net etiquette. Second, you'll probably get far more appropriate responses to your question in its own thread.

sailingdog Good point... some companies are better about standing behind their products, even if they are older ones, than others are. I don't know how Lewmar is, but I hope that they're one of the better ones, as I have a fair amount of Lewmar gear on my boat.

Faster It may be worth your while to actually contact Lewmar directly with this problem... Friends had trouble with the Lewmar hatches on their Beneteau and Lewmar was quite helpful in addressing the issue (actually replacing some of them free of charge). Granted yours is an older vessel, but it won't cost you much to try.

sailingdog Neoprene can be used in a lot of different ports. You might want to try getting some sheets of neoprene and cutting gaskets from it for the ports.

New seals for Ports / portholes

Several of my Lewmar ports on my 1997 Beneteau 36 CC are now leaking rain water and while the gasket material on each of these doesn't appear to be in bad shape, I obviously need to replace it. Can't seem to find anything from Lewmar to use for this purpose (it would be over-priced anyway!). Does anyone have any suggestions for where to get this gasket material?
