Awesome write-up! Not enough is said about these little boats. My first sailboat was a snark and I still have it. I learned a lot in mine, chiefly being don't sail it during a small craft advisory unless you want to spend the day swimming and paddling back in a bathtub full of seawater. This makes me want to take her out this weekend!

Nice job on the old Snark. Should be fun for exploring parts of the Rhode that you would not take your C27. What is the island that is only visible at low tide called? Low Island, Sand Island?
You are not at the Blue Water marina by any chance?

Love to see some one with a command of the three Rs
Great looking job. I want a sailing 'toy' for my liveaboard and althouigh I am thinking sailboard a Snark might be a better option. [ Act your age TQA!]

Restoring a Snark
Rather than look at the big projects, why not see what a small one is like? I picked up an old Snark daysailer for free off Freecycle and decided to use it as an educational restoration project. Rather than talk about big, expensive project boats, let's see it done in miniature.
