Clear Lake/Galveston Bay

Another good resource in this area is the classes at Higgins,Smythe, and Hood Yachts. Jeremy Hood is a proven bluewater sailor, and quite knowledgeble.

I'm currently at Marina del Sol doing my refit (D-5), so if you happen to be around, give a shout.

chuck5499 Congradulations Txnative -- where did you take it - i took my first course from an asa instructor in clear lake --
now go out a couple of times and then take 103 and 104 - that is what we did and it really worked - we then chartered a few times while we spent over 2 years looking for the boat we want. found it in a jeanneau ds40 and have been sailing ever since - by the way the more we sail the more we realize how much we don't know so we have to sail more to learn more.

Just completed Basic Keelboat..

Completed the Basic Keelboat class this past wkend and really enjoyed it. I just found this site and hope to learn more thru it. Ive noticed it has some good info on everything. Hopefully, I can gain more experience this summer and maybe make a purchase of a used boat sometime in the future.
