The older Legends were also quite distinctive, as were the Cherubini designs. That takes them back to the 70's.

Based on aesthetics alone I would agree with you - I'm not a fan of the new designs.

I would also agree with your statement re. Beneteaus - but not because of aesthetics, but for build quality.
I think the difference in build between B's newer boats and those from 20 years ago is night and day.

Still, some nasty stories on your blog page with quote from bashers. Can't tell what to believe. Either they can easily be delivered on their own bottoms to South Africa or sink at first launching and keels fall off with attachment so bad KKMI had to rebuild the hull.
I have no plans to cross anything worse than the water from Florida to the Caribbean in the best of weather and maybe, just maybe, one way to the Med in same excellent weather forecasts. Most the time will be living on and in the boat so that's important too.
You said you know Bob Perry. Has he ever stepped into this discussion or does he stay clear?
The great thing about Bob is that he loves boats. Period. And he's very objective about them. He's been involved in my Production Boats and the Limits thread I mention in my post - but I don't expect him to get too deeply into the thick of this kind of debate. He does his own thing - very well - across virtually every boat type you can possibly imagine. So I would imagine he finds this kind of debate a bit tedious (as do I). But I won't speak for him.

There's no "winning" in these kinds of forum storms. You just have to do your research and make your own decision. I made mine.

Good luck - and have fun.

Am going to include Hunters in my search again but still find little cooperation from brokers. Most still bad mouth them.
Thanks!
I'll check that link. It was actually an interview conducted by our very own Jeff_H. He may have it somewhere if I can't find it again.

Okay - found and fixed link.
