SVAuspicious From it looks like KA9GAT hasn't been reissued. If you pass the tests again you can apply under the vanity call program to get your old call back. I think there is a small fee.

The tests aren't hard.

Stuff4Toys Just a quick question:

Had my Tech licence KA9GAT but dropped it waaaaaay back in 1985. Can I get my licence re-instated? Keep the same old call letters? Used to be active in MARS, teletype, HF and 2 meters.

carl762 Congratulations.

I started studying for the Tech license, stopped, now have to start all over again. Need to find my Gordon West book. Now that I have a boat, I definitely want to be able to use my Icom T90A HT.

jephotog I used this to learn morse code.

PilotMorse Morse Code Tutor for Aviation

Or you can get the 5x5 software to study for the Ham for $30 and get the morse software for free. I have used this software to pass a number of tests.

In Calgary, you can contact the Calgary Amateur Radio Association (Welcome to CARA)

To assist in studying for the Canadian test, Industry Canada has an exam bank:
