mccary What happened to our beautiful, read mild, fall. This week sorta blew the socks off the sailing thing. Maybe it will turn warm again soon...

T37Chef Keeping my fingers crossed here for an overnight this weekend, Saturday - Sunday most likely...a rainy cold Friday isn't so appealing to my crew

mccary I was out on Monday (11/22) and the temps were upper 50s and light winds 5-8 knots. We had 2 HS friends come up from Florida. I don't think they realized just how lucky they were to have such "mild" weather for sailing this late in November. We sailed from Galesville to Thomas Point and back. They had never seen TP up close. It was a treat.

Today the temps are in the 30s, a bit too cold for my tastes. But I am hoping for more mild weather.

GeorgeDog Whoever said Chesapeake Fall sailing is great was spot on. Another sweet weekend is behind us. It was nice seeing so many boats out yesterday. The Patapsco is amazingly smooth with so few powerboats.

Other than a delivery trip to the barn that might do it for us this year...

or maybe we'll get next weekend in

GeorgeDog Great weekend. Got an early start Saturday and had good wind across the bay and up a ways on the Chester River. Rafted up with Seas the Day for great food and friendship. Cast off at sunrise for a motor home but then has great wind for a few hours before sunset. As I said... great weekend.

Paradise Cove on Bodkin's Creek. They just finished two HUGE buildings. They'll take boats up to 125' long for indoor storage.

chef2sail We spent our last weekend out for the year. Anchored in Fairlee Creek....a place we NEVER EVER go to duruing the season as it has many many chuckleheads.

We were the only boat anchored there and had a great beautiful sunset. Took our final dingy ride, ran the gas out of the engine and stowed it on the rail. Grilled NY strip steaks with rouqeufort crust and a killer brocolli sald Donna made. Huhkered down in the cabin after 6 as it was chilly. 37Tchef gave us a great tip on a portable propane heater which we used to keep the cabin cozy all night. Kona coffe....lox and bagels for breakfast with a great killer view all to ourselves. Unfortunately there was very little wind over the weekend...but both days were steller beautiful.

Dingy is now off of the boats and bnow home for the winter and hoping for a few bonus days before taking the sails off and putting her winter cover on Haleakula. She will stay in her slip for the winter.

mccary Today (Saturday 11/13) was beautiful, I only wish there had been a bit more wind. The temps were nice in the mid 50s. Finished off the day with some (frozen) soft shelled crabs.
