Perfect indeed! We were out having an LFS near the mouth of the Severn, along with Sailnetter Seaparrot. If this is to be the last warm mild day of the season, it was a glorious one. Winds were light here, but with no one else out on the Bay, there was no chop or powerboat wakes (well, except for Navy Warship #7?? making its way to the anchorage, escorted by a Coast Guard cutter and met by 3 launches from the Naval Academy). Sweet.

Go ahead and rub it in why don't ya ;)
Wow! What a great afternoon and evening. One other sailing vessel and no power boat traffic. Warm, breezy, and smooth. Rafted up with a friend in the Inner Harbor for dinner and drinks.

Heard you met one of my boat neighbors, Scott.
Sure did. Great guy with a great boat.

Maybe a tad cooler....

Hope it proves to be nice. We're planning what will most likely be our last overnight for this weekend. Heading over to St. Michaels with my buddy and his wife.

Its the first time I've been able to get them on the boat this year as he underwent treatment for cancer over the summer. He's all done with surgery, radiation and chemo and on the road to recovery now, so it'll be great to have him and his wife along.

I'll have to make sure I have a spare watch cap for him though....nothing to keep that noggin' warm anymore. :D

??? I'm seeing 5-10 kts on Saturday, and chilly, highs in the upper 50s; but 10-15 on Sunday in our part of the Bay.

We left the marina this morning to attend a friends wedding tomorrow on Kent Island. Had quite the ride with 25-35 kts! Currently in a slip at Bay Bridge Marina and we've getting pounded with 30 kt gusts all afternoon. I don't think we've see less than 20 in this marina yet.

Talk about an exposed marina, yuk :puke

Solare... a beat from HHS sounds brutal? How did you set the sails? Just curious.

I'll be out tomorrow with my cousin for a short sail, maybe over to Rockhall or up around Poole's Island?

Wish I was out today...enjoy the great day folks :)
Chef,

I've found our T-37 really excels with just the genoa up with anything over 20kts. I can point 35* and have next to zero weather helm.

Today we sailed back down in 20-30 kts on a beam reach with just the genny out and never saw anything under 7kts (hit 8.7 a couple times, surfing :D )

SVAuspicious

Tortola down I-65. Still working my way through a lifetime of chartering on my own boat!
Looks like we're likely heading down as well (waiting for the tropic depressions to chill out). If you see the Sou'wester 42 "ALBAMAR", give us a shout!

We're planning on daysailing on Weds, then anchoring in the Rhode Thurs-Fri. Then <*insert sad face here*> putting away the sails for the winter.

#30 ·
Joe, tonight (Tues) we are anchored in Whitehall Bay. On Weds we hope to sail down to Thomas Pt and then back home by 3 pm (we have a previous engagement for the evening). If you're going to be out, email me in the morning (my email is my screen name, @att.net) or hail Cinderella on VHF and we'll try to grab some photos of you. We certainly don't have the quality of your pro equipment, but on a crisp sunny day like today, even a snapshot will be glorious.

We are looking to head out for the weekend. Nnot sure where we are going. This may be the last sail for a while as we have commitments on the next three weekends. We have decided to keep her in the water for the winter and short haul in the spring.

Last year we also spent in the water so its 2 years on the bottom paint and she is looking a little green on the forward gelcoat from her travels

Any one else have plans on the weekend yet?

Dave
