LoboPops - thanks for finding my site on the web, I'm still surprised when people find it

Zanshin, thanks for the great chronicles and pics. You reminded me how nice the islands were and there are so many to check out!

Also especially enjoyed the berthing in the mangroves to protect the boat during hurricanes and tropical storms.

Thank you.

Zanshin Popay - no worries, it gives me something to do while I'm not on the boat. I just updated my interactive map page as well, see

Popay Very nice pics! Thank you for posting them!

Zanshin The movie was good, as was the company - for those who have cruised the Caribbean, my guest from the catamaran Ti Kanot was Chris Doyle, who writes the popular guides.

tdw - I have Harken winches and they come apart and go back together quite easily and don't have too many little bits and pieces that go overboard.

tdw just reminded me that the Womboat's winches need the same treatment.

Nice pics though, good stuff.

Zanshin zz4gta - I used mineral spirits to dissolve the heavy grease covering on the winch parts and then a big gust of wind sprayed the contents across the cockpit. I spent most of yesterday cleaning the cockpit (more mineral spirits, rubbing compound and wax) - I would rather have done something else.
At least tonight I'll have company aboard for drinks and a movie - my anchorage neighbours from Arita and Ti Kanot. I haven't used my TV set on this trip so I'll check it out now to see if it still works.

zz4gta Z, looks like my bathtub right now! Atleast it's well above freezing where you are.

Zanshin Thanks, smackdaddy. Life aboard isn't just beaches and sunshine:

smackdaddy I've been reading through January's stuff. It's really well-done dude. With the pics and descriptions of each day, it's easy to get a sense of life aboard in the islands.

I totally understand about life being a lot better with some curvy company aboard. Oh well, at least you've got that cool wooden bird on your bulkhead to talk to! Heh-heh.

Have fun Zan. And keep updating that blog!
