Planning NW Passage Expedition for 2012

Chateau et al

Several crew needed to cancel after the Japan tsunami crisis so we are re-scheduling our expedition to 2012 in hopes of finding a few more crew up to the challenge of an Arctic voyage - a full complement is eight (8) persons. The reason for eight is it makes sharing the expedition expenses just 1/8th of the total for each person - bargain value for this 10,000nm remote voyage. If you are interested in more details stop by the website which is in process of being updated at NorthwestPassage2012dotcom - it will be released from construction in the near future so check back often.

Smooth seas,
Doug

Singlehanding the NW Passage

Hello my name is Matt Rutherford. I will be singlehanding the NW passage in a larger effort to complete a single handed circumnavigation of the americas. I am interested in helping you with your show. You can Google "Matt Rutherford sailor" to find more info or just send me a email at Mrutherford28(at)hotmail(dot)com

WanderingStar A guy from LI came back recently after circumnavigating North America. There have been articles in Windcheck. Less fanfare and no tv deal though.

This is a serious post -- we do understand the magnitude of this undertaking (at least, I believe we do). The Northwest Passage is no walk in the park; clearly it is the journey of a lifetime. And that is why we would like to tell such a story.hggfytf

Boasun For some, Life is short but sweet.
I don't think that anyone will do the Northwest passage sans clothing... Something about freezing one's hinney off comes to mind.

They have capsized the boat and trained the operation to re-right it themselves. That on water at freezing temperature...just in case that happen during the voyage .
