Allen-deckard just wanted to say I'm not advertising but there is a company on ebay soft topper that makes a bimi top.

I bought one this summer and while I would have been a little happier if the fittings would have been made out of stainless instead of nylon it's a good top fits well and the price is definately right has a nice snap cover for it as well.

anyway I'm sure there are better made tops although they'd be hard pressed to have made the material portions of the top any better but not at the price and from what I've read alot of them out there require alot of modifications after you buy it and I had to change nothing for a really nice professional fit.

Again I'm not affiliated with them at all just bought one is all so maybe others have opinions on others for ya as well.

Bilikin Everyone here in the deap south (below I-10) uses a Bimini. In the summer for shade, in the winter to get out of the rain. Join the National Catalina 22 Sailing Association for lots of info on the boat, or go to Great bunch with lots of into/advice.

CaptDon001 Here is a photo of our C-22 with a bimini. Great for sailing, and also nice to keep the dew out at night.

Glen53 Welcome to SN Rarata. I own a 25 Catalina on the Great Lakes and have a bimini. I have also read about many 22 owners who have them. If you go to the Catalina association web site you will find all this information covered in detail Catalina 22 Home Page Good luck - Glen

Hi. Iím new here and considering buying a used C-22. Itís hot here in Florida (or Iím a wimp) and I was wondering if anyone has installed a Bimini or other underway shade on a C-22. The end boom sheet would seem to make that hard. Thanks
