melerthari I am looking at a 29.5-foot 1973 Shipman28, that is on Lake Guntersville in Alabama, it needs some work and has hydraulic drive.
I would appreciate any comments on these boats.
thank you

Shipman 28 or 30

There is a dark green Shipman 28 that sails out of Spa Creeek in Annapolis, Maryand. I originally thought she was an Albin but the owner corrected me on that. These are really pretty little boats with their nice counter sterns and well proportioned doghouse and trunk. After seeing the one in Annapolis and finding out she was not an Albin I decided that I may have also seen a nearly new dark blue hulled one in Charleston S.C. in the very late 1970''s in a slip next to the Northstar 500 that I bought there all those many years ago.

I don''t know if that helps any.
Regards
Jeff

Shipman 28 or 30

Is there another American out there with a Shipman. Shipmans were designed in Sweden and ours was built in Ireland in 1973. I''ve found Shipman owners in Ireland, Sweden, Denmark and Spain. We sail in the San Francisco Bay. I''m told there is one other in the US, probably on the East Coast. Who are you and where are you?
