smackdaddy Okay, okay - you guys kind of rock. Like SERIOUSLY rock!

But that doesn't dampen the eye pain of those shirts dude. Just sayin'. Heh-heh.

It looks like I'm actually going to get to crew on my first ocean/gulf race in June (a short and sweet one - but salty nonetheless). I don't want to jinx it - so I'll say no more right now. But I'm praying we don't get Don Ho'd like you guys did. Out of the "cow waller" and into the blue!

When it happens, I'll send you a pic of our trophy.

GeorgeB Smack, donít you have a drawer full of crew and regatta shirts at home? Oh, I forgot, they donít do much racing in that cow wallow you call a lake. If you look closely, you might see the garland around our boatís pulpit. And whatís that in our skipperís hands? Why, thatís the keeper trophy for division second place. And that hunk of crystal in my hands is the team trophy. Imagine, two trophies for a single raceÖ Care to post one of your trophy pictures? When you eventually win something, Iíll bet a buck, youíll be wearing a team shirt! In fact, Iíll probably be wearing that shirt for the Pac Cup reunion party during this monthís Jack London Boat Show.

I must regretfully inform you that you are incorrectly mistaken. This photo is not of me, but of my first mate. How her wiley ways once bedevideled me on long voyages in the southern seas. She was a young and devious girl then. Sadly, I lost her in a bar in china when I wagered her as a bet on a game of chance.

Smack, I long to know of her fate. Have you seen her lately? If so tell her I miss her so.

Years ago having completed a crossing, I was wearing the hula girl shirt when an old salt approached and recounted a story. What he told me was this. A hula girl shirt is not to be warn by inappropriate wankers. Only on the most audacious of occassions when one is prepared for the utmost propriety may the most simplistic of fallow fellows don the shirt. Hula girl is the most mysteriousness and often seen from afar but not nearly near. Much like a mirage, a great white wale or other creature of the sea or land. She dances a dance most mesmirizing and melifolous. She takes years and days of practice to perfect her devilish ways. When she is gazed upon she turns strong men to drink and weak men to sea. Her hips sway to and fro and her eyes say yes when her mouth says no.

These are the thing which all who dare wear the hula girl shirt must know.

When the old sailor finished his recount, I shook his hand and thanked him the pearls of wisdom he dropped at the feet of swine. It was a most horrific occassion to have graced his presence and I shall never forget his memory of him or the hula girl. How I dream of her on sleepless nights upon the sea gazing out upon the depthless waters and starey stars. She keeps me company when even the fishes fear my presence. God bless her generous ways. There is no end to her.I am constantly and even now bedeviled by her dancing hips and coconuts. Thank you hula girl. I love and desire you always.

Boasun Why aren't we talking about the Hula girl's grass skirt instead? After all I do have a small safe lawn mower
