dvuyxx There was a story posted about the Pearson Info site either here or on the Pearson Google forum. For some reason, I don't recall, the registration expired and the URL was hijacked.

veprjack Yup - I think I'm HOOKED (LOL). There are few boats on here in the same price range that elicit more passion and positive comments than the Pearson. It's certainly not the fastest or the prettiest, but for what I am looking for, it's as close to perfection as I'm likely to find.

Perhaps it's not a coincidence that my only real experience with sailing was a 6 week course a lifetime ago - because it was on a Pearson 33'! Anyway, I don't want to start any "Posting Wars" here, as I know sailors can be a passionate lot and very protective of their own favorites. But I think my first real sailboat purchase will be a Pearson. The 10m would probably be the best "fit" for me in terms of handling, learning curve, live aboard, etc. We'll see...

Thanks for all the help,
Jack

BubbleheadMd How timely, I'm also trying to get a Pearson 30. Love the old brochures!

veprjack I may be looking at a 1981 Pearson 365 Ketch! As a newbie, I have to proceed slowly and keep my impulsivity on a leash - but it looks like a nice boat. Hey, if all goes well, by October I may be a proud member of the Pearson Owners Club! lol...

I'll keep checking this and other sites for more information!

Thanks,
Jack

ilikerust Yeah, it disappeared a while back.

I think you'll find much of the same data here, an interesting history of Pearson here and some info here.

I have a 1968 Pearson Wanderer, so I'm always looking for good Pearson sites, too.

Does anyone know where Dan Pheifer's Pearson website has gone......is it lost forever....if so what a shame! Tons of valuable information was on that website that i can't find anywhere else!
