rockDAWG Thanks for the reminder. I think I will give them a call to see if it is worth to buy one.

rockDAWG I agree, the weather is bad now. but it will clear up by the weekend. We are leaving on this Thursday from Annapolis. We should be in Little Creek, VA over the weekend. If the weather looks good, we will head out.

Our captain purchased the weather service from Chris Parker. He also recruited a professional delivery captain for the trip. I should be in good hands..... hahaha. I will learn as much as I can form them.

Capt and I sailed for 4 hours yesterday to make sure everything work, especially the reefing. I helped him to clean up the boat afterward, disinfected all surface of the boat.

Just made 10 blocks ice (12 x 8 x 6) in a -80 degree freezer. Together with dry ice, it will keep out food fresh.

I am excited.

Tempest Dawg,

Baltimore Canyon is an underwater canyon along the continental shelf.
There are a number of Canyons. Hudson Canyon, Washington, Norfolk.
These are often prime fishing grounds

If you go to google earth and type in " Baltimore Canyon" it will bring you there. It's roughly 70 nm southeast of the entrance to the delaware bay.

The Hague line is the line that divides the economic zone waters of Canada and the U.S.

The NOAA weather report is the offshore forecast between these two lines.
South of 1000 fathoms...are the waters off the shelf of the hague line

And yes it looks pretty nasty out there right now

travlineasy Baltimore Canyon is approximately 51 miles southeast of Ocean City, Maryland. It's a well-known fishing spot for marlin and tuna and frequented by charter fishing captains from Indian River, De to Chincoteague, VA. The 1000 fm line is about 10 miles farther east.

SVAuspicious Baltimore Canyon is a subsea canyon in the continental shelf off the Maryland Atlantic coast.

The Hague Line divides US and Canadian fishing grounds - essentially the boarder between territories.

From NOAA - what does it mean?

"baltimore canyon to hague line s of 1000 fm"

Where and what exactly is Baltimore Canyon, Hague line South and 1000 fm?

Edited: fm = fathom
