Newport41 Charlies charts. The best books I've ever found for cruisers. And lonely planet books for local knowledge away from the water

capttb The Guide mentioned by Mr. Benson is written by Brian Fagan. There is a
Cruising Guide to San Diego Bay by Ed & Barbara Bowler that is pretty detailed also. Also check the website for the area's boating newspaper The Log, they have guides etc. online for most harbors.

Hawaii & San Diego Area Guide Books

In the northwest we have a guide book that's just great!
It's called Wagoner's Cruising Guide. I'd like to find a comprehensive guide book for the Hawaiian Islands and the San Diego area.
Does anyone have suggestions?
