Sailmon I use it almost daily. Great app. Still buggy. Can't select notifications, shows daily message repeatedly then gives an error code when shut down. Absolutely dislike how much screen real estate is going to menu functions.

Couple more issues

1. I think I don't get to see stickied threads in the app.

2. Any thoughts on enabling chat in the app?

junkrig Regarding interface preferences: the browser interface home page does not include new postings from the Off Topic forum. I would vastly prefer that the Android app home page not include those postings either. The more Off Topic postings that show, the fewer real Sailing postings we see.

AdamLein Another feature I would like to see:

When I tap a YouTube link in the browser it asks if I'd like to use the YouTube app. It would be nice to get the same behavior from the SailNet app.

Mostly because I couldn't get search to work.

BentSailor Just installed the application on the new phone and whilst nice, there are a few things that wouldn't go astray if I had a hand in the development (iPhone & Android apps are where I make a living atm).

First & foremost, the ability to see a notifications list without being able to clear them seems a little useless. I'm not fond of having to clear the "Like" messages to start with but having them show up as notifications I cannot clear via that app seems to just rub it in. If we're going to have notifications - can we at least clear/acknowledge them as well please?

Secondly, the Ignore list is not being respected. In other words, people that we choose to Ignore (& those the admins decide we need ignore for our own good) are getting through. If the Ignore list is (ironically) ignored by the Android application or, more accurately, the web services it connects to it undermines both annoys those of us using the feature and/or undermines a moderation tool we were explicitly mentioned could be used on stubborn members. It shouldn't be too difficult to have the Android application ignore the same posts the forums do.

Thirdly, and this is really the one that ruled out the use of Android for more than a curious review for me, is that there isn't a button or menu options to refresh the main page. Sure I can hunt for the new threads in the forums by selecting the forums one at a time and checking them; but if there is going to be a list of the most recent threads - there should be a way of refreshing that list without logging out and then back in again. There is even space for a refresh button in the bottom-right (next to the Newest & Forums buttons).

Not trying to be a pain in the backside about the application & I do realise this is a "first cut", but if we didn't express our views on what's wrong with something, it'd never get fixed. That, and being a developer of these things makes me the worst kind of self-righteous app critic

Edit: Also, there is a user interface element displaying the fact that "You have 1 new notification" which, if I tap on it shows me the list of notification types with the fact there is another "Like" received. However, if I use the menu to view my notifications, it tells me there are no new ones. Two interface elements telling me different things about the same notification list (obviously the first one is cached and is not being updated).

SloopJonB This is the first I've heard about android devices being available. I need a housekeeper android, sailboat crew android and a s*x android - where can I buy them? Can one do all three functions?

I set it on the forum end - it's not something you set in your phone.

I had it set to the most recent 10 - I just updated that to the most recent 50.

that should do the trick.
