While not being a taller sailer, I do know that every boat has it''s compromises. In the 30ft range, larger headrooom will generally equate to more freeboard and a reduction in sailing performance. I believe that you should make sure you have headroom in the galley area, but elsewhere you would normally be sitting / lying down or can put up with stooping

Will headroom be an issue?
I am looking into purchasing an older boat in the 30'' range for day sailing and marina hopping, and at 6''3" I am not having much luck finding any with adequate headroom.
I am interested in hearing from any taller sailors out there that have purchased a boat with less headroom than their height. Does stooping become an issue over time, or just a minor annoyance?
