Re: C 30 Tall Rig

Agree with the chief on everything for new folks reading this old thread. I wouldn't live aboard here in the NE in the winter if it regularly fell below 40 degrees. But then again, I start whining when it falls below 70 so what do I know?

Re: C 30 Tall Rig

I have an 89 Tall Rig and live in the Northeast. I only use it for summer, mostly day cruises. The fact that is a Tall Rig means nothing regarding the interior dimensions. It just has more sail area. There is plenty of interior room with over 10 feet in beam. It totally lacks any insulation and when I visit the boat while in winter storage it is freezing inside. Obviously, you would need to purchase some type of heating unit. Also, the head is a little on the small side for a live-aboard. Even getting dressed can be an issue if you draw the privacy curtain in the forward berth.
Good luck as otherwise a great boat.

C 30 Tall Rig

Hello, any C30 Tall Rig owners out there?
Looking at an '84...as a liveaboard - how does it fare in NE winter weather?
