I don't understand the bottle opener at all. I guess it is supposed to be cute, as it can't be practical (love Adamlein's observation that it could only be used underway (for sodas of course!)). In any event, I can see the manufactures court testimony if the accident the OP mentioned did occur. Attorney: "Mr. Manufacturer....Why did you think it was a good idea to incorporate a bottle opener in the shank of the anchor, eliminating material, thereby reducing it's strength?" Mr. Manufacturer: "I don't recall that discussion at this time."
Regarding the "cheap Chinese steel"...Bet they are, everybody's doing it. in fact, we shipped entire sections of the new SF Bay Bridge from China!

I have two to add for comparison, the left one is a chinese stainless steel bottle opener given to me by a manufacturer that was exhibiting at the 2009 Shanghai boat show while the right one is the rocna bottle opener designed by myself in 2009 for rocna and also made in china.

That would work perfect for AUS II.

No, I meant one with real Rocna blood and guts dripping all over it. Has anyone observed a Rocna that was broken under actual anchoring conditions?

That's a nice one

Is Lewmar using cheap Chinese Steel now too?
So, I was in my West marine the other day, and they had a sale on a really nice Shiny polished Stainless steel Delta. The Anchor looks almost identical to the traditional delta, but they've added some extra features to the shank to give it better holding power and it's actually supposed to break free more predictably than any other anchor.
But I'm concerned because Lewmar hasn't revealed the tensile strength, I've seen no holding power tests on a beach or in icy conditions, and the thing is so inexpensive I'm worried that it might break which could lead to a real scary predicament.
Has anyone actually used one of these things? Are they up to the task for a 16 or a 20? Can they really handle a 40? How much rode to I need to keep it secure for an all-nighter?
