Leocat66 Hope you do not mind this request.

We have been trying to contact friends who have been in the San Blas for the last ten or so years. They are O. Victor Miller and Gail and live aboard their white, with yellow trim, CSY 44, KESTALL with their two dogs, and have a home port of Albany, GA. Vick is a writer for sports mags, is a published arthor of several books, and works from his boat. He is from the Apalachicola, Fl. area and sails home each year in the spring, for family visits, but goes right back before hurricane season sets in. They love it there too.

Their cell phones are not working any longer. He has a web site but no longer responds to e-mail. We wonder if they are safe and well.

They have been a fixture there, and love the place. We know it is a large area, but, should you see or hear we would love to know.

Melrna If you see my good friends Chuck and Patti on Soulmates say HI to them! They have been there for a few months. Love the place.

killarney_sailor At first, I thought this referred to the San Blas islands in Panama but this sounds like a different place - where are we talking about?

Don't pass San Blas by

Hi we are Dave and Leiann aboard the S/V Chrysalis II. We just wanted to get the word out about San Blas. Like many we were dubious about stopping because of all we have heard about San Blas Norm and crime. While our friends on Velella Velella had their dingy stolen, they say that they would still recomend a vist. We have been here for a month while getting some work done on the boat. We hauled here for a month for a total of $600 in and out. And were were able to do our own work! Deal!! Anyway we have had a great time. We just ignore Norm (stay off the radio 22). Dispite dire warnings of the dangers of gingos being out at night. We go out nearly every night and say hi to all and get smiles and waves back. We went on the "jungle Tour" real crocodiles, a don't miss attraction. Explored the old spanish fort and bicycle'd all over. We rented a nice clean little place here for $350 a month. Places a little less nice and clean can be had for $175. Vist "Fluffy" the real life crocodile at Billy Bob's bar (google it). As for the famous San Blas no-see-ams, are now where as bad as has been published. We got a local repelent that works well. We spend most evenings eating ice cream in the town square, under the old church (google the bells of San Blas). So don't miss out. Fair Winds and God's speed
