As for Bacon and limericks I'd have thought they'd have been more up Sammy Johnson's street. (or was he WS as well ?)

"Blacksmith, I set ye a task. Take these impoons and lances. Melt them down. Forge me new weapons that will strike deep and hold fast. But do not douse them in water; they must have a proper baptism. What say ye, all ye men? Will you give as much blood as shall be needed to temper the steel?" - from Moby-Dick by Herman Melville

Given the paucity of woman interested in long term sailing, and the question of how such a gem got into her 60's without being grabbed off the shelf already,
Cindy, you may understand that we're a somewhat skeptical lot. If you are who and what you say, someone is going to be very lucky to find you. But meanwhile...you'd probably do better face to face in the local yacht clubs. Odds are a man who would met your requirements already has the same boat, and is getting ready for the same voyage. And has been looking for you for a long time now.
Or, since his last bitter divorce with a wife who said "You spend too much time and money on that damned boat."

Although, how one could construe a simian comparison as complimentary could require an explanation. However, in the spirit of benevolence and encouraging you to post more often, I will let it slide, along with the misspelling of impugn.
Welshman, have you been told yet today?

As to "nonparticipatory", I think just following this God-awful thread for a week entitles me to exercise my freedom of speech.
