Re: Islander Bahama 30 Manual

It looks like DanIB30 said he had the original manual, but I can't message him directly. I wonder if he still does have it?

Re: Islander Bahama 30 Manual

To my knowledge, there is no Islander 30 Bahama manual online.

BBS are scanned regularly for e-mail addresses. I would not want to post my e-mail address in the open because of all the SPAM you will collect.

Would you be interested in the 1984 version? If so I can copy it and mail it to you snail mail. I don't have a scanned copy of it, and I don't have my multifunction printer hooked to my computer, and I don't think the Linux SANE driver supports it anyway.

What I will do is PM you my e-mail address and we can take it from there.

Tom

Re: Islander Bahama 30 Manual

Thanks for responding dacap. If someone has the manual copied in a way well enough to send in an e-mail, then that certainly would work. I think the manual pages I have may have been copied and the quality is not the best. I realize I am asking for miracles here, but thought I'd try anyway. Do I need to post an e-mail address somewhere? If there is a way to find it somewhere else? If so, I would certainly make that effort as well. Just lead me in the right direction please.

I just got the boat. It is on Lake Mead near Las Vegas. I am in the midst of getting everything up to my (anal) standards before I would consider bringing anyone aboard. I'm almost there, and I just want to make sure I know as much about the boat as I can. Just the way I am.

I would post pics of the differences so far, but I'm not that knowledgable about how to yet.

Thanks again and I await your reply.

I have a 1979 Islander Bahama 30. I see some of you have the original manual. I have one, but it doesn't look as though it is complete. Would one of you be so kind as to send it to me please?

Thanks in advance.
Before going to that trouble, would you be interested in seeing a short outline of our manuals? You could then determine whether any of us has anything more that you want.

If that doesn't work for you, what transfer method do you want to use? e-mail attachment? FTP? URL for a file hosting site (which one)? Snail mail?

As an aside, you just need to make a few more posts before you can PM.

Manual :D

Hi Dan,
I just bought an I30 1975 and am fixer her up. Do you still have your I30 and do you still have the manual? I am currently fixing the compression post issue and have the spar down. I would like to retention the rigging to the right specs if possible.
Thanks,
Tony

Steve, I can scan and send you the manual for my 1984 Islander 30 Bahama, if you want. What year is the boat? Islander installed Universal Atomic A4 gasoline engines for most of the run of 30 footers but switched to Volvo MD7A diesel engines in the mid to late '70s. Apparently the Yanmar 2GMF was also an option -- mine has the Yanmar and I have seen a few others with one as well. There are other differences among the model years too, but they are minor.

Anyway, if you want the manual then send me your e-mail address in a PM.
