Re: S/V East Coast Lady Shows her Bottom

No otters to speak of here in Beaufort. My sailing partner coiled the spring lines up like that. We need them on both sides depending on the tides. Our dock is a bit tough to land on without them and we may need them on the other side of the boat. So he made a set for both sides. I don't relay like them there but not sure where to put them.

Itgo.. you've really done wonders bringing this old girl back to life.. Well done.

btw.. those pretty rope coils - kind of labour intensive for that application, but whatever.. if you have an otter population nearby be advised that they treat those nice coils on docks as personal toilets.. and tend to park their piles dead center!

Enjoy that charter trip!

Heres a little update on the bottom job. They did the stripes today. I am excited about that. Heres a question ? how do I know if they used top of the line paint for the bottom?

Howzit All,
I'm usually on the Cal forum, but I love to see boats brought back to life. Check out the ECL blog to see how cherry the bottom looks. Going to be one fine vessel. Seems like the yard is good at their business. Enjoy.

Yep, I got mine from a sign-making place, but only because the local auto store couldn't get it for a week or two. I think it was 1/2" tape. Make sure you get something with good UV resistance (like the 3M).

Re: S/V East Coast Lady Shows her Bottom

Where would one find this 3m tape? At the Autoparts store like pin stripe?

Re: S/V East Coast Lady Shows her Bottom

I believe from the factory/dealer the C&C stars were painted, whilst the stripe was done with tape. I did all mine with 3M tape and it's held up for a year so far:
