Calling all P30 owners:

My P30 is supposedly a '73, and should have a HIN. However, I suspect that construction was started and finished in '72 and that the boat may have escaped without a HIN during the transition period.

I finally discovered where the plate should be that lists the HIN and/or the hull build number. There is a square blank spot with 2 rivet holes in the aft end of the cockpit. I suspect that it was removed for painting, and never reattached. I cannot find it anywhere.

If any P30 owners have this plate on their boat, could you please post a photo so that I know what I'm looking for? The older the boat, the better. My hull number is #255.

Thanks.

Bristol Bronze in Tiverton, RI lists cast silicon bronze replacement builders plates for Pearsons ($66). There's a line drawing that is pretty close to scale at http://www.bristolbronze.com/Catalog/pg026.pdf. No photo available of mine, but it is silver painted plastic (the bronze version is on my someday list). Note - No experience with this vendor.
