Re: Morgan 49 opinions

I am a happy owner of OI49 since 2001 and would like to know whats the asking price for my toy. You should check a few items like chainplates, aluminum fuel tanks, generator (Onan?), roller furling. I had to replace all and if its your case do it closer to the US. I am in Venezuela. Let me know if you have further questions.

Re: Morgan 49 opinions

I've been doing a lot of research on these boats and so far found out there were only about 9 of them built. I wonder why so few, was there a problem they could not solve and move to a different production model to replace them?

I've also found 3 of them for sale in Florida, making me wonder about the boat.

Morgan 49 opinions

We are considering looking at a Morgan 49 for cruising and living aboard. We'd do the east coast, the islands, eventually go through the canal and do the west coast. We had a 42 footer years ago so need to refresh skills prior to tackling anything big.

We'd appreciate any information people may know about the 49 ketch and are willing to share. We know it is a big roomy boat but other than that not much else.

Thanks in advance.
