We will be coming out of Erie Canal and into New York harbor in September. Let's do one then too!

Brad,

We arent heading up till mid August. Returning the 8th of September. Leaving the Chesapeake Aug 15. If you decide to do it in June maybe well be able to meet up in August when we get up there. I would enjoy meeting some of the SN on the LISound and up to the Vineyard.

We go this time of year as there generally is less fog...although we still have to watch out for the named storms. Also it the time of the year my restaurants are traditionally slower..and there are less tourists in the places we visit so they are not crowded at all.

Hope we get to meet in August

Dave

While we don't have a date yet, I'm thinking late June.

Dave-- when will you be in the area?

I'd love to go, we're out of Banegat Bay and if possible I'd like to meet up with someone closer to land caravan out there. Would be my first time that far off (in a sailboat).

Bene, dude, you gotta set up a Global Regatta course out there! Pick a NOAA buoy as one of the marks, gps coords as the other two, and set a 10 mile triangular course. Then all you guys race it after a couple of beers and let me know who wins. Braggin rights for the entire east coast of the Americas.

The Oar at Block is always a good jumping off point. New Harbor is also a good place to wait for a weather window to go offshore. No wind can be a problem in the summer.

It's the great "crabs for lobsters" swap. MD sailors bring crabs, New England sailors bring lobsters. NY-based sailors bring bagels. Philly -- cheesesteaks. You get the idea.
