Re: 37' o'day center cockpit aft birth

Are "aft birth" boats also known as "placenter- cockpit" boats?

Some days I slay me.

Re: 37' o'day center cockpit aft birth

Hopefully someone will have the answer, but I suggest going to look and trying one on for size.
O'Day is a good boat and a CC model will give you a pretty good size aft cabin.
What Catalina do you have now?
I'm 6'1" and wife is 5'7" and we never had problems with either the V-berth or quarter berth on our C-30 and our C-34 is even better with the 34 having a private aft cabin as opposed to an open quarter berth.
My suggestion, don't limit yourself to just one model, unless you've looked at many and decided the O'Day best fits your needs.
When my wife and I were looking, we looked at many models before deciding the C-34 was the best fit for our needs and budget.

37' o'day center cockpit aft birth

I realize this is an odd question but does anyone know the exact dimension of the aft birth on the o'day centercockpit 37 footer?

I don't have any around to look at so I'm going strictly from images which gives a good idea on layout and some other things but trying to get a feel for dimension is difficult.

From reviews and everything I can find to read I'm attracted to the boat but before I waste the time of a seller and my drive time going to look at some I'm just trying to collect as much info that I can first.

Btw I'm over 6' and my isn't to awful short. I have a v birth in my Catalina and we've just never been able to sleep well in the v birth arrangement just us but we plan on wintering on the boat so comfort and a good nights sleep is as high on my priority list as any other. Nothing spoils a vacation like lack of sleep.

Thanks in advance
