Re: Return to Sail

I had a gust that should have been a knockdown once. I think gusts were around 35knots that evening. No water over the rails. Pointed more upwind and she settled right down. That was with a 130% Genoa.

You definitely make a good bet on this boat

Dito for me in the Georgia Strait, these boats are awesome! I had a 150% Genoa as a headsail not expecting winds over 10 knts when a 25 knot wind hit midship & swung her down to a 30deg heal without any water coming in. (except my pants! )

Re: Return to Sail

Smooth through the water, dry in 3-4' seas. Comfortable ride in 12 kt wind. I knew it the moment I saw that hull shape 1-1/2 years ago..... I was a boat builder in my youth and after being away from boats all these years, this little keg has really pumped me up. I intend to wander around the Keys, Biscayne bay, the West Bahamas, etc. I'm like a little kid and can't wait to go out again! Too bad I still have to work.....

Return to Sail

Hi everyone!
I bought my '78 Spirit 15 months ago. I've been working on it on the weekends. Took it out for the first time this weekend.
