Re: Female 1st Mate Wanted

What does NEB for the winter mean??? I am really not a bar person, my first crewmember when I was bringing this boat from Annapolis to New England got drunk and attacked me on my own boat. He was a male friend I thought I knew. I do not think a female would do that.

NEB for the winter, I presume?

As I said early in the thread, you need to spend more time at the local bars. Tip the bartenders well and they will help. If they don't, you can assume it is you and you'll have to decide whether you want to work on that. There are so many sailing bums in Narragansett Bay, it seems everyone can find a companion. I know this because of all the disasters at sea that I've heard and read about (in the area) and used to be surpised that people even got aboard, often with strangers.

Hello There, My name is Larry. Have not found a suitable companion as yet. Did spend at nice few months at Martha's Vineyard and the islands of Massachsetts south coast.Alot of work running this boat myself though. For now, at a new home port of Portsmouth Rhode Island. If you are still interested, get back to me. Thank you, Sincerely, Larry

Re: Female 1st Mate Wanted

Hello Captain Lar

My name is Suzanne and I had to register on this site to be able to contact you. I have sailed most of my life and have a couple of navigation courses under my belt as well. It has always been a dream of mine to sell everything I own and just take off to see the world. I know this is a late post but if you have not found a sailing companion as yet and would like to talk with me please contact me. I have no comittments holding me here as my three boys are all grown and doing quite well on their own. I would love to chat in more detail; very seriously considering this.

contact me a slfrederi@aol.com

Currently living in RI and boatless, but love sailing. Haven't the experience you have, but am capable and I can cook! Good company - smart with a sense of humor.

Would love to come for a sail.
