Re: 1974 Cal 27 T2

I am looking at a 1974 T2 in excellent condition with a rebuilt Yanmar 1gm10 diesel. Primary use will be shorthanded SF Bay sailing and Norcal Coastal cruising. I am an experienced sailor and have experience with the Cal 2-27, 29' and 39' models, but no experience with the T2.
Do you think it will serve my purpose?
With a displacement of about 5400 lbs, will the 1GM10 be sufficient?

Howzit Pit,
Great boat. T/2 was our first Cal. We've since gone bigger but really enjoyed the T/2. Great sailing boat and sturdy as they come. I've posted some pics in other threads on this forum if you want to look for them. Good luck.

Phil I purchased a 73 T2 (#136) and have been fixing and sailing her since October. She's not in the same shape as yours but I am really enjoying her.
