The black sails are probably either carbon fiber or else the sunblock on the aramid to block UV from damaging the sails.

haha they don't flex, they are made out of carbon fiber.

they are unsafe because they cost 3.5 mil and I can only afford late 70's keelboats. it was a joke

Not that im into motoryachts all that much, I would much rather have sail power, but its amazing to see the amount of money people have. To top it off I got a hull cleaning job from the Westport due to SEVERE neglect. The WHOLE underbelly had barnacles almost an inch thick. With two divers on either side it took us 7 hours. Last time she was cleaned was 3 years ago. Goes to show you they either have disposable income and could care less, or have no clue about boat ownership.
And they probably pay 13% or less on their income taxes

$3.5 million for a used one, at that. "Sugar Daddy" - nice name.

Re: Not a Cat kinda guy...

Sorry but carbon fiber catamarans are unsafe and ugly and unsafe so I don't even want one of those even if I had 3.5 million dollars.

I prefer late 70's vintage fiberglass keel boats under 30' loa because they are tried and true and safe.

And because I will never have 3.5 million dollars.

And for a mere $3.5 million you could have one too!
