Re: This weekends sail

Just my son (21) and me Sunday it was great. He wanted just us, so we left out of Little River Inlet, SC sailed up and down the cosat line for 5 or 6 hours 10-15 kt. with 1 to 2 foot seas. Came in, anchored off Bird Island. Watched the bathing booty for a while, scrubbed the bottom what a good day...The picture is me and my dad (89) who taught me what I know about sailing, he never had a motor on any of his boats...

Re: This weekends sail

We had an awesome sail yesterday. Silva Bay to Canoe Cove in 6 1/2 hours. 20 knot winds to start and then it eased to 10-15 knots.
Sunny...beautiful. We love the Gulf Islands.

Re: This weekends sail

Struck out Friday night 10pm from Kent Narrows to St. Michaels (Maryland). Beautiful full moon 12-15kt wind couldn't ask for a nicer sail, starboard tack all the way down. We anchored out and slept in, hit the town for breakfast, took a nap and sailed back with fair winds most of the way, dying out on us in the end. It rained the rest of the weekend, but I got my fun in!

Looks like Watch Hill, Greenport and the Thimbles. Nice long weekend adventure.

I feel your pain! I was bobbing around Sooke in a 16ft power boat fishing and wishing I was sailing! The things we do for family!

At least we caught some salmon...
