Re: Name That Boat

If the interior and rigging is as rough as the exterior I would steer very clear of this boat. A boat like this can easily have negative value. But if you have the space to work on it, and have the time have fun. Just be sure to hit them with a low ball offer. I can't imagine it will be worth getting a survey but if you don't know much about boats it might be a very good idea to get one. On a boat that size I would think it should not cost much more than 350 to get it surveyed since it is out of the water.

Re: Name That Boat

Thanks again for everyone's help, it certainly does look like the Santana.

It is a Schock built 27' (older one) and looks like the santana racing hull from the late 60's early 70's (Guess that would explain the way the boat name looks LOL)

In some forums captains seem to like the way it glides like a "Bat Out Of Hell"

Your bell rings true, this boat has been in the SW Florida market for months and no one has purchased it yet. It was posted on the forums before and someone did identify this boat. Now we just have to search through and find it LOL

Tl4814 I too have been looking for the maker of this boat. I have seen it listed in the Tampa bay area Craigslist. It seems to be ok just needing work.

Re: Name That Boat

Thanks for your replies. That would make sense, a non-production boat, so they didn't list a builder.

Re: Name That Boat

That looks like home brew to me, not a production boat.

No, I do not own it, but that's a good idea.
