Here are a few nice updated photos from our New Years trip to Catalina...

In the last one you will see the pod of orcas that greeted us when we rounded Palos Verdes back into Santa Monica Bay....really cool!

Thank you for the invite! We do plan on attending and possibly joining the AYC, but unfortunately cannot make the meeting on the 8th, will be in Redondo on the boat!

Thank you! Yes, we explored the Lake Pleasant option as well, went up to The Sailboat Shop and met Tom, looked at a few boats there, and got information about slips at Pleasant Harbor. Ultimately it came down to wanting a location where we could not only use year round but specifically get out of the AZ heat in the summer. We would like to join the AYC and plan on attending a upcoming meeting, I think we need to find a "sponsor" in order to join.

Greeting from Phoenix / Redondo Beach

Hello everyone! My wife and I, after being transplanted to and lived in the desert for 5 years now from the Great Lakes, have finally managed to get a new to us sailboat and are now able to get back on the water.

We purchased a 1977 34' Chubasco built, Doug Peterson designed, sailing yacht and look forward to getting to know the waters of Southern California in and around Santa Monica Bay.

We have already utilized some advise here on Sailnet and look forward to being part of the community.
