Yeah, unfortunately cases of bottled water are to convenient for people, especially sailors with it's easy stow-ability. I wish more people would buy bigger jugs and use smaller reusable containers to drink out of.

Like they said.. no one is innocent.. all we can do now is make sure we do our very best to avoid using more plastics.. and recycle what we do use.

And it's not just the one in the Pacific..... that's just the biggest one, I believe most if not all of the major oceans have one.

Their other documentary's will blow your mind. Check out the one on North Korean Labor Camps. These guys are nuts.

I have been through the gyre three times. This year was the worst, part was tsunami debris.
