I certainly don't mind people lusting over her. I really didn't think that was what we'd end up with when we started looking. The previous owners did a great job of taking care of her.

OK, got the boat now. The only HR at the Marina. Lovely boat, was checking it out last season. I hope you don't mind me saying, but I lust after your boat.

I got the slip number wrong, we're near the end of the 200 run (3 from the end I think, I can't remember the number). It's the HR34 with the teak decks. We've got a small bratty dog who has discovered that he can slip through the lifelines onto the dock, so he's a good indication that it's our slip.

We should be up nearly every weekend now. Hopefully it'll stop this alternation of sweltering heat and bitter cold soon.

Re: Review of my season on Georgian Bay

Hi Scott, good to hear from you. Was up at Bay Moorings yesterday, for their Winter Fest. Just wanted to check on the boat more than anything. Not a whole lot of people but they had some great chilli for lunch ( and who can pass up on a free lunch ). Looking forward to seeing you in the Spring. Hopefully we can meet up on the water this summer!

Looks like a mini Bay Moorings reunion here.... 4 of us so far. We're directly across from Steve in 223. Most weekends we're out at Beckwith, Hope etc. and tend not to spend much time at the docks.

Steve, great post. Can't believe I've missed it so far, but haven't been on Sailnet much recently.

Re: Review of my season on Georgian Bay

Hi Walter, I remember you from last season, good to hear from you. Actually, I had wanted to thank and apologize to you. If I remember right, anchoring was a bit tight, and you had concerns about being in the way if we upped anchor first. I told you we were planning to leave early ( that being 10:00 AM of course ). When we finally got our lazy butts out of bed you're boat was gone. I remember thinking at the time that I should have put more emphasis on how late in the day "early" is for us. Felt really bad about that, for me getting up early is the ultimate sacrifice.

Did enjoy your account of last year's progress. Motoring is not what any of us enjoy... The trick is to wait for the weather... but that requires patience and, of course, no time constraints such as jobs or other self-imposed obligations.
