Re: Video of extraordinary USCG rescue at sea

One should not venture out to sea without the awareness of the force of nature, just as one should not venture out unprepared and unwilling to follow clear safety and emergency procedures. I have turned back to disembark a crew-mate refusing to wear harness and tether. What we went through were extreme conditions half as much sea state can be just as deadly.

Not sure if I should show these to my partner or not ...
One the one hand it's reassuring to know there's help out there but on the other, they are fairly harrowing - erk!

Re: Video of extraordinary USCG rescue at sea

The first print run of Michael Tougias' book on our rescue "A Storm Too Soon's" is missing pictures so I have scoured years of old computers to reconstitute a history of Sean Seamour II leading up to the event, it is a work in progress but have a look https://picasaweb.google.com/1135458...eat=directlink

It is five going on six years since a series of miracles allowed us to survive unpredicted Sub-Tropical Storm Andrea, on January 15 A Storm Too Soon by best selling author Michael Tougias will be released by Simon and Schuster. It is as gripping as the storm, I will be commenting further but here is the link :
