Re: C&C 99 Mast question

Mr. Dog Ship, do you have first hand knowledge of these mast problems? Can you explain please as I am thinking about getting one of the new C&C 101's.
Thank you

Re: C&C 99 Mast question

Aluminum is a way more forgiving and can be worked on without compromising it's structure. Carbon fibre is stronger pound for pound but it will snap without any warning.
For all around general use I would go with the aluminum mast.
C&C/Tartan have had serious problems with there new carbon masts and hulls and in my opinion they are just not worth it.

C&C 99 Mast question

Hey all-
Looking at a 2003 99 that has an aluminum mast. I think the next year was the year that switched over to Carbon, but this one is still aluminum. Any thoughts on plusses/minuses on the aluminum mast versus Carbon?
